Les Sentiers de L'Estries
90 miles

Location
The northern terminus of the Les Sentiers de L'Estries is located in Kingsbury Quebec. Its southern terminus is located at the Glen Sutton border post at the US/Canadian border, approximately 7 miles west of the northern terminus of the Long Trail.

Description
The Les Sentiers de L'Estries follows a north-south route over the Sutton Range, on terrain very similar to that found on the northern section of the Long Trail, but at a somewhat lower altitude. Highlights include the traverse of Mt Orford and Mt Sutton. The trail is maintained by members of the trail association (Les Sentiers de L'Estries Inc) and is marked by white blazes with a superimposed red band. These blazes circle the trees and make them easy to find, even from off of the trail.

When to Go
Most hikers avoid winter conditions, and mud season should be avoided in the spring. Also, fall deer hunting season should be avoided.

Permits and Restrictions
The trail crosses private land across most of its route, and per agreement with some of the land owners membership in the trail association is required to use those sections of trail. Contact: Les Sentiers de'LEstries Inc, Post Office Box 93, Sherbrooke, Quebec J1H5H5. Camping is not allowed on all sections of trail, and other than in some sections of Mt Orford Park, campfires are not permitted along the trail.

Resupply
Several small stores are located near the trail.
